Algorithmic Skyline

Installation of Algorithmic Skyline Lightboxes and Print

Working with found 16mm film shot during the 1950's of a skyline in an unknown location, still images were pulled from the film using a flat bed scanner. I then trained an algorithm with the data set and generated a wide range of various skylines with varying levels of modulation. From the results, a few images were sampled and printed them on SEG fabric and installed them in reverse lit lightboxes. In addition to the lightboxes, a wide landscape image was printed on archival paper.
