Working with found 16mm film shot during the 1950's of a tree in an unknown location, I pulled still images from the film using a flat bed scanner. I then trained an algorithm with the data set and generated a wide range of various trees with varying levels of modulation. From the results, I sampled a few of my prefered images and printed them on SEG fabric and installed them in reverse lit lightboxes.
